Monday, February 17, 2025 – At the China Conference: Southeast Asia 2025, organized by the South China Morning Post in Kuala Lumpur.

Prime Minister YAB DS Anwar Ibrahim called for Asean’s relationship with China to evolve beyond traditional trade and investment.
He emphasized the need to prepare for future challenges, warning that artificial intelligence (AI) and new American tariffs could disrupt the global economy.
He also urged the region to focus on transitioning to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry YM Tengku Zafrul Aziz declared 2025 as Asean’s year, pledging to make Asean centrality “not just an ideal.”
He highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a gateway to mainland China for Asean and positioned Malaysia as a bridge for Hong Kong to Asean and beyond.

International Leadership Forum on ‘The Hill’ @ Washington DC

It was an honor to get the chance to be invited to the International Leadership Forum that was held at one of the prestigious Capitol Hill Club, a private clubhouse with its inception, members included the nation’s most influential people – Presidents and Vice Presidents, GOP Members of Congress, Governors, state party leaders and influential entities everywhere.

The Forum began with opening remarks from IGAPA board members and other industry leaders.

Followed by panel discussion exploring the leadership styles and strategies of international political leaders, with a focus on the lessons that public affairs professionals can learn from their successes and failures.

Next, was The Women’s Leadership forum.

This panel discussion focused on the challenges and opportunities facing women leaders in the public affairs industry, and how organizations can promote gender equality and diversity in their leadership ranks.

Four young inspiring women gave some insight views on how they combat gender inequality at the workplace.

It’s time for women to have an equal share of power and decision-making at all levels.

It ended with some fruitfull networking amongst us whilst enjoying some yummy light refreshments on ‘The Hill’ 🤩🥰 with Datin Rozy Abdul Raof & Adriana Kamelia AK on monday @june12,2023 in Washington DC
